The Repo Code

I shall not cause harm to any vehicle nor the personal contents thereof, nor through inaction let that vehicle or the personal contents thereof come to harm.

For comparison, here is Isaac Asimov's first law of Robotics:
A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

It has been suggested that J. Frank Parnell resembles Asimov and wears the same type of glasses.

As he is dying, Dr. Soberin utters this dire warning about a mysterious glowing box which disintegrates anyone who opens it:
