For the past 10 years, Mr. Cantor has been working on
applications managing the delivery of electronic content via the
internet and broadband networks.
- Currently consulting to Cident Entertainment to build a content
management system for their satellite television service. The software
tracks content through the process of acquisition, encoding, encrypting,
scheduling and delivery. Also working with Asgard Technology to build
integrated content management and distribution software for use with
broadband data broadcasting systems.

Designed and helped to develop an interface for use by
PanAmSat Net36 to manage resources for file delivery and streaming programs
over a satellite network.
- Built the PC client application for organizing, ordering,
and viewing content delivered via satellite by the
CyberStar system. Also developed
a web interface for submitting content.
- Developed tools to support the
intranet version of IFusion's Arrive and was the
technical lead for IBM infoMarket prototyping and for development of the
IBM NewsTicker.
- During much of this time, Mr. Cantor was leading teams of 2 to 4
programmers, working closely with marketing departments to define
strategy and requirements, and has been using C++, Perl,
ASP, DHTML, VBScript, and Microsoft SQL Server
to build web interfaces, server software, and PC desktop applications.
Previously, Mr. Cantor spent over fourteen years developing application
software for graphics workstation systems, most of which supported
C3I functions but also including interactive simulations, a commercial CD-ROM
product for Jane's Information Group, and an alarm system for the George
Washington University.
- Programming was done primarily in C++, C, and Fortran
using several different graphics and GUI packages on SGI, Sun, HP,
DEC, and NeXT workstations.
- During this time, Mr. Cantor had 3 years
of experience supervising 3-7 programmers while creating and
implementing task plans covering periods of up to one year.
- Mr.
Cantor has over 6 years experience as a system engineer and has been
involved in all phases of structured software development life-cycles,
including object-oriented analysis and design.
